• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Ps58 -- Miracles happen every day but to see them one must look with the heart. : Leela & Aurora are back and author Serena J. Bishop has given a story full of every day magic. The strength of these characters is not lost through the many new experiences they go through. I also love the supporting characters as they grow with each experience the couple shares. Three years have passed and their life together is even more settled. After a work related trip to the island, their time there and the commitment they shared the first miracle (of many) happens. As the story weaves I enjoyed the dialogue full of relationship struggles that brought so many emotions. I gasped, cried, laughed and was in complete awe as they navigated the most unbelievable circamstances. If you have not read Dreams I encourage you to do so. This story can be read alone but book 1 helps you know how for them undeliverable is just so doable. This author has a unique way of reminding us Miracles happen all the time. The love, compassion and joy that fills the pages make it a heart warming read. I will come back to reread it again and look forward to more of the authors work. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Ms. I Read to Escape -- Sleeper Hit Novel You Must Read : The pacing of the first part of Miracles matches that of the first book, Dreams. Light humor, realistic interplay between Aurora and Leela, and a sweetness that defines a loving couple trying their best to maintain their commitment and love for each other. Subtle hints as to something lurking under the surface of the novel are present but inobtrusive. And then ... the explosive supernatural elements come together in a fire-burst of fission-inspired awareness; basically, Author Bishop blew my mind. The reader expects a little bit of magic after the first book, but the exciting expansion of this magic in the last half of Miracles elevated this sweet and sexy love story to epic potential. I can NOT wait for the next installment of this very special family's story. Recommended for readers 18 and up due to explicit love scenes. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2021 )
• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Kole Rock -- Loving, enchanting adventure : "Miracles", the sequel to Serena J. Bishop’s epic "Dreams", does not disappoint. The main characters are likable and quirky but beautifully flawed providing drama and authenticity for this exciting, supernatural plot. Additionally, the story is so original and interesting that it made me feel like I was reading both a modern fantasy and a classic novel. To be sure, you will be left wanting more, wanting to know the Universe’s plans for our magical couple, their seemingly-predestined baby, and the full cast of characters accompanying on them on this transcendent journey. • 4.0 out of 5 stars from Daisy Teragram -- Really good, lightly supernatural romance : I really liked this book. The characters are good and interesting. I especially liked the supernatural/paranormal aspects. The story isn’t really finished, but it did get to a sort of finished point. I did want it to be more finished, but I’m looking forward to the next book, Heroes. The writing is good and the characters’ personalities shine through. I had thought more attention would be given to their Hawaii trip. We got a few glimpses of the trip, but really didn’t get to see any of the Hawaiian attractions, just them enjoying the resort. Their relationship was what was important, not Hawaii, but I did want to see them experience the islands some. I did like how their relationship evolves and how they deal with all that they experience. The characters are realistic but unique in ways that fit their upbringing and personalities. I hope this isn’t a spoiler, but I like how the characters acknowledge that they don’t really know how their dream connection came about, although I wish that had been addressed in Dreams instead of us waiting until now. And for my needs, I would like there to be an explanation. So readers will have to be willing to go with the flow and just accept what happens to them. The miracle of birth, of connections, of relationships. This is a warm, heart healing story that makes life feel so wonderful. I can't wait for more of Serena J. Bishop's writing in the future.
